Ferguson, Gerald "Gerry" 1935-2012

The family of Gerry Ferguson is sad to announce his passing on January 27th, 2012. He leaves behind his four children, of whom he was most proud, Mhairi (Gene), Gerard (Marie), Paul (Michaela) and Mark (Michelle).  One of his greatest pleasures was to spend time with his seven beautiful grandchildren; Emma, Kate, Ewan, Kieran, Clara, Davis and Keegan.  Pre-deceased by his parents Jack and Annie Ferguson and his sister Moira.  Cherished brother to Eileen (John).  Gerry will be sadly missed by Anne Ferguson as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Gerry was a Principal in the H.W.C.D.S.B. for over 30 years.  He was a wonderful story-teller, had a great love of literature, was a sports enthusiast and a huge supporter of St. Mirren soccer in Scotland. Friends are invited to visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J. Markey Chapel,” 947 Rymal Road E., HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Monday January 30th 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.  A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday January 31st at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home.  In memory of Gerry, donations to the McMaster Children’s Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
