The family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Arthur Edward Jr. on April 19, 2011 in his 86th year at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years Lucy Apps (nee Patti). Loving father of Joanne (Robert) Palmer. Cherished grandfather of Ashley. Predeceased by his parents Arthur Edward Sr. and Dolly Apps (nee Pell). Beloved brother of Grace (Dan) Bardy (deceased), Barbara (Arthur) Young (deceased), and Bernard (Jane) Apps. Arthur is survived by many brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He retired from the City of Hamilton in 1989. Arthur will be remembered for his passion of bowling. The family will receive friends at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J Markey Chapel,” 947 Rymal Rd E., HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Sunday, April 24th 2011 from 7-9 pm and Monday, April 25th, 2011 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A celebration of Arthur’s life will take place in the Bay Gardens Chapel on Tuesday, April 26th, 2011 at 11am. Entombment to follow at Bayview Mausoleum, Burlington. Donations may be made in Arthur’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Please sign the online Book of Condolences.
