Funeral Pre-Arrangement

Few people want to think about their eventual death, let alone plan their funeral arrangements in advance.  Yet having your final arrangements in place relieves your loved ones of the burden when the time comes.

There are almost 100 items to attend to at the time of death and in the days following.  The tensions and challenges involved in arranging a funeral can be reduced by pre-arrangement.

Pre-planning your funeral and putting all your final wishes down on paper relieves your family of additional stress, financial concerns and even hurtful arguments during a time that will already be confusing and upsetting for everyone.

Funeral prices double on average every ten years.  When you preplan, you lock today’s prices in until the time of death—no matter how many years later.  When you preplan your funeral service with one funeral home, the money is not held by that funeral home.  Your arrangements are fully transferable between funeral homes at your convenience.

There are other benefits to prearranging such as receiving excellent prices and coverage for travel insurance, and tax benefits and more.

DID YOU KNOW...?

  • Funeral prices double every ten years.
    • Making funeral arrangements now lets you lock in today’s prices.

    • Pre-arrangement can provide you with savings and deferrals on estate and income taxes, interest free payment plans and other financial advantages.

    • Funeral arrangement is a complicated process at the best of times. If arrangements are left to the last minute, when time is limited, families often resort to emotional overspending, which in turn leads to conflicts and hurt feelings that can last for years.
  • Many nursing homes now require that funeral arrangements are in place before they allow a new person to move into the residence.
  • There are almost 100 things that need to be done when a death takes place.

Over the years, we have received countless letters of thanks from the appreciative families of those who preplanned their funerals with Bay Gardens.

Planning ahead is beneficial in many ways:

  • Interest Free payments: Plan your payments your way with no interest
  • Peace of mind: Your family is relieved of the burden of making final decisions
  • Estate Income Tax savings: Ask a preplanning specialist for details.
  • Predetermine costs: It is said that funeral costs double every ten years.  Preplanned and prepaid funerals lock in today’s prices forever.
  • Avoid complicated family dynamics: A small effort goes a long way to peace of mind.
  • Deposits are insured by the CIDC: Preplanned and prepaid funerals remain wholly flexible and are fully transferable to any funeral provider of your choice at any time. You don’t have to worry about the security of your investment—it’s protected up to $60,000 by the CIDC.
  • Flexibility: Plan now and change later with no penalty.  Circumstances change.  If you need to alter your final arrangements you may do so at no extra cost.  Likewise, if you chose to move your funeral to another funeral provider there is no penalty for doing so.  Prearranged and pre-paid funerals are fully transferable.  Simply call Bay Gardens at 905-527-0405 and we will take care of the rest for you.

Pre-paid funeral funds are not held by the funeral home but by a third party insurance or trust—depending on the individual.  Payment plans are flexible and are based according to your needs.
