Grief Resources & Support
We all grieve in different ways. During times of loss, many people find it helpful to speak to a trained counselor, or just someone who understands that feeling of loss.
At Bay Gardens, we offer you free access to professional grief counseling. Groups meet several times during the week, in sessions that run between six and 12 weeks. At other times, we host monthly meetings and discussions about topics related to bereavement. Click here for more information.
As well, we can point you to a variety of grief and bereavement resources within your community, such as a toll free “Caring Voices” bereavement help line.
Bay Gardens provides “anticipatory grief” seminars, “lunch and learn” events about pre-planning funeral arrangements, and other outreach events to area nursing homes and other care facilities.
We are currently developing a program aimed at high school students, in which funeral directors will educate teens about the dangers of drinking and driving.
Our extensive grief resources library provides articles about healing and loss, details about upcoming events, news about education programs, contact information for professional counseling, and much more.
