Much like any other service, services for funerals and memorials do vary.   However, funeral costs are regulated and fall under either services (staff) or merchandise (products such as caskets or urns).

In the province of Ontario, the average cost of a funeral is around $5,000.00.  This price typically includes funeral home staff; professional care such as aftercare (help with forms, along with bereavement counseling); use of the funeral home and equipment; automobiles such as hearse, limos, lead car; visitor’s registration book, acknowledgment cards, tribute life DVD, casket and possibly an urn if cremation is the option.  Costs such as casket choices, cremation costs, etc. are variable and depend on the selection made by the family.
